Return to Mountain Home

Back for Round Two in Mountain Home, Arkansas.  We had such a good time around here last year that we thought we'd come back.  Saturday was a stop to MountainWoods place.  He is another waymarker I have been corresponding with for a bit.  We had a great visit.  I was able to pick up a cache and a waymark at his place.  Sunday was a late start, but we picked up another geocache and seven waymarks.

A Pileated Woodpecker that showed up outside MountainWoods window.
This is only the third Pileated I've seen.

I adore ya', Eudora.

Finally been able to get out and get new pictures - working on the batch from Pleasant Hill, Mo from last month (details to come).  This was from my birthday last Sunday to Eudora, Ks.  I found two geocaches, got bored, and then went waymarking...  I took 28 pictures of the downtown area - they translated to 21 new waymarks - not a bad ratio...  Most were Kansas Historical Markers, but four of my favorite buildings were:

Masonic Building
A very nice example of late 19th century architecture.

IOOF building
Unusual in that these buildings are usually three stories, not two.

This rather plain building - :) - was a bank
in the 1920's and 30's.

Another former bank - one can definitely tell
by the architeture.
