Another Day of Pictures cleared!!!!

38 Posts and 12 Visits is the final tally from the 31 pictures taken on 10/8/2014.  Not bad considering it was a travel day from Gulf Shores and I also was geocaching at the same time.
20th Wisconsin Monument

Ameristar Casino (I miss Top o' the River
Catfish House that used to be here) and the old Truss Bridge

October 10,2014

Kansas is COLD in January - thank goodness for Lots of backlogged pictures from vacations!  This is from the last full day in Vicksburg last October...  94 Visits and 107 Posts with 185 pictures.  Not bad for one day of exploring!   A few of my favorite pictures:

States Rights Gist
Gotta love a man who was named "States Rights"

Okay, on this one I lied - this is the Kansas Memorial
this is the FUGLIEST Memorial on the Vicksburg Battlefield.
As a Kansan, I'm really embarrassed on this one!

General Lloyd Tilghman Memorial
This is the most moving Memorial on the Battlefield -
he was killed at Champion Hill before the Siege.

Not really a waymark photo, but who can resist
a photo of the sunset, Old Man River, and barge traffic going up river!
