Just finished posting waymarks from a trip to Lawrence, Kansas taken back on June 16th.  I mainly documented the Downtown Historic District.  I was able to get 77 waymarks in 14 different categories from 143 pictures.  Highlights include:

Round Corner Drug - at one time, this was 

the oldest drug store in the State of Kansas.

An old Montgomery Ward Building - 

a great example of Art Deco architecture.

Former Lawrence Masonic Temple

an example of Egyptian Revival architecture.

Watkins Museum - this was a former

Bank and Lawrence City Hall.

Sister Cities Park - 

a little oasis in downtown Lawrence.

Went to Council Bluffs, Ia. and Omaha, Ne, earlier in the month and was able to waymark three separate cemeteries and visit the Omaha Zoo.  I ended with 8 visited and 20 posted waymarks.  The highlights included:

Grenville Dodge Mausoleum

Grenville Dodge was a Civil War General and a major

force in the construction of the Transcontinental Railroad.

John O'Neill (8 March 1834 - 7 January 1878) was an officer in the American Civil War,

 and a member of the Fenian Brotherhood.

 O'Neill is best known for his activities leading the Fenian raids on Canada in 1866 and 1871.

Skip Stephenson was one of the hosts

of "Real People" TV Show.

Gilbert Swanson was the owner of

the company the developed the first frozen TV dinner.

Today was mostly a geocaching day (found my 2900th cache) through Southern Johnson and Douglas Counties.  I did get a little waymarking in - 17 pictures taken in some very historical cemeteries and areas, 6 waymarks posted.  Highlights...

Finally got done painting the exterior of the house and was able to take a waymarking trip.  Went to Sedalia, Missouri Sunday afternoon and took more pictures of the Downtown Historic District.
